I liked the look of the hotel and the fact it had spa facilities. The room was a good size .I booked a double. Lovely big bathroom with bidet. Toiletries provided. Plus robe and slippers for when using the spa. I don't usually bother with TV when I'm away but I put it on the morning I leaving and discovered that I could have controlled the lights by remote. Room service menu available. Breakfast was optional. I didn't eat at the hotel the restaurant was in another part of the hotel across the courtyard. Asian cuisine. Opened to non residents too. Did have a few cocktails there tho which were good. Nice bar . Cuban cigars available. Lovely setting on river Thames. I was staying end of February and it looked like they were starting to get the garden area ready for the spring. Spa was quite small but nice and clean with lockers available. Didn't have time to try the treatments so don't know what rooms like. Short walk to Battersea high street where there are more cafes, pubs takeaways. About 40 minutes walk along the Thames path to Battersea power station. Just watch out for cyclists and joggers. Good bus service available.

The Rafayel is one of London's secret hotels: new-comers to London might be shy of venturing south of the river but with a bus stop outside heading straight to Clapham Junction, one outside heading straight to Victoria, and easy taxi access to the Embankment, it's a snap to get into the heart of the city very swiftly. Being slightly further away allows for far greater space and comfort than one finds in Central London at an excellent price - having stayed at a lot of London hotels for work, having seen bog-standard central hotels charge the earth for a shoebox or luxury hotels charge astronomical sums for ultimately nothing much, getting charming, peaceful, well-equipped rooms at a fair price is a joy. In this case, the hotel kindly upgraded me to the rather palatial junior suite which gave me a grand view of the river, space to work, space to dine, a full bathroom and kitchen facilities - everything I could possibly wish. Thank you very much indeed to the team!

I spent five nights there recently, and I was impressed by the size of the room, the cleanliness, and the breakfast. The hotel has a good location, and it is easy to get to the tub by taking the bus that stops in front of the hotel (#170). The hotel's decoration is a bit overwhelming because it's too much for me, yet the service and comfort are good. The mattress is not as comfortable as I was expecting. It seems a bit cheap and not as good as it is in other hotel, but even though I slept pretty good. The internet was a bit slow from time to time. Overall, the hotel has a great location, is riverside, is easy to connect with central London, has convenient facilities, and is of great value for money.

Manuel

The location for us was great, and the views were fab.....witnessed a helicopter landing on the pad situated outside our room, which was exciting. The size of the room and bathroom were very generous, we stayed in an Emporer Suite , we really loved the jacuzzi bath in the room. We ate in the restaurant in the afternoon and evening, the food was fabulous we loved the Wagu burgers. The cocktails were great too 🍹 Breakfast was good, eggs made to order and we loved the delicious samosas that were on offer. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant and bar in the evening had a great buzz 👌 The spa facilities and gym were also good.

Carmen

Such lovely friendly staff from the moment we walked in the door. We were allowed to check in a little early which was unexpected but we were so grateful after our flight. We used the spa when we arrived which was fab and they have a great gym room too. The room was so clean and spacious with everything we needed in it. The hotel itself was immaculately clean and the lobby was really lovely decorated. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was in a good location with many bus links and within walking distance of Clapham Junction. Very reasonably priced for a weekend too. We would recommend.
